Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Jeff Heinzelman, who runs Wound & About and makes the Wound & Wrist Bound app (the "app"). In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" refer to Jeff Heinzelman operating Wound & About. They apply whenever you use the app, including The Salon, its community area. By creating an account or agreeing in the app, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you are taking part in the beta, the Beta Terms also apply.

2. Who can use the app

You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account. Give accurate information when you sign up, and use one account per person.

3. Your collection and privacy

Your collection is private by default. If you turn on "Make my collection public", other members can see the brand, model, basic specifications, photos and wear count of your watches, except any watch you hide. Prices and value, serial numbers, purchase and sale details, and notes are never shown to other members under any setting. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Your content in The Salon

Your handle, profile photo, display name, bio, Wrist Checks, New Arrivals, comments, answers, likes and follows are visible to other members ("your content").

• You own your content. You give me a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display and resize your content in the app so other members can see it, for as long as it stays in the app. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies I must keep for safety or legal reasons described in the Privacy Policy.
• Only post what you have the right to share, such as your own photos. Do not post other people's photos, or anyone's personal information, without permission.
• Other members' content belongs to them. Do not copy, repost or use it outside the app without their permission.

5. Community rules: zero tolerance

The Salon is for sharing watches and the enjoyment of them. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. By using The Salon you agree to these rules:

• Be kind. Disagree about watches, not about people.
• Post real watches you own or are wearing, and your own photos.
• No selling, trading or price solicitation.
• No replicas, counterfeits or talk about obtaining them.
• No harassment, bullying, threats or hate speech.
• No sexual, violent, graphic or otherwise objectionable content.
• No spam, scams, impersonation or misleading content.
• Don't share anyone's personal information.
• Nothing illegal, and nothing that infringes someone else's rights.

6. Reporting, blocking and moderation

• Report any post, comment, answer or profile from its "..." menu. Reports are private; the person you report is not told who reported them.
• Block any member. Neither of you will see the other's profile, posts or comments, and any follows between you are removed.
• An automatic filter blocks certain words in handles, names, bios, captions, comments and answers.
• I review reports, and aim to act within 24 hours. Content reported by several members may be hidden automatically while I review it.
• I may remove content, warn members, suspend accounts for a period or permanently, or remove a handle, at my discretion, when I believe the rules or these terms have been broken. When I act on your content or account, the app tells you why.

7. Acceptable use

Do not try to break the app's security, access other members' accounts or data, scrape or copy content in bulk, overload the service, get around a suspension or block, or reverse engineer the app. Do not use the app for anything unlawful.

8. Watch information and links

Watch details, Terms of the Day, collector scores and other information in the app are for enjoyment and general reference, not professional advice, and may contain mistakes. Brand and model names belong to their owners, and their use does not mean any brand endorses the app. Links to other websites, including Instagram, are provided for convenience. I am not responsible for their content.

9. Deleting content or your account

You can delete any post, comment or answer, and you can delete your account in the app from Settings, under Advanced security. Deleting your account removes your profile, collection, posts, comments, likes and follows, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can stop using the app at any time. I may end or limit your access if you break these terms.

10. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. I do not promise that the app will be error free, secure or always available, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own records of anything important; the app lets you export a backup.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from the app or from other members' content or conduct. My total liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed US $50. Some places do not allow certain limits on liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

12. Apple

These terms are between you and me, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Your use of the app downloaded from Apple is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. When I do, I will change the date and version at the top. For significant changes, the app will ask you to agree to the new version before you post, comment or follow again.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you live outside the United States, you keep any rights your local consumer laws give you that cannot be waived.
